Meeting the Marvelous Moho “Mamma Mia’s” at Maggiore (Lake)

23/08/18 – 26/08/18 – Lake Maggiore, Piedmont and Lombardy Regions After 2 months of not staying at a campsite, it felt odd checking into one. Having said this, Camping Village Conca d’Oro in Lake Maggiore was properly organised and the staff were super friendly on arrival. (GPS 45.9361943,8.4867615) There was a major difference to staying at one this time though, as we were meeting our friends who also had their Moho. We’d booked 3 nights at the campsite situated on the edge of Lake Maggiore where Adele and Charlotte had already been for several days with their beautiful children Toby, Ella and Woody the dog. Adele, Chief Organiser, had already prepped us a few days prior via a little video about how our vans would come together to create our “nest”. We were all very excited, and after several hugs and kisses on arrival, Dan manoeuvred our van into position, opposite their van, side by side with our awnings sort of coming together in the middle to...

‘Appy Pride! Seville Orgullo

23/06/18 – 25/06/18 – Seville We’d heard that Seville was hot and had discussed staying in a hotel, but chose to test it out once there. Boy was it hot, reaching 43 degrees at its highest, so after taking turns to go and see the spectacular Plaza de España and surrounding gardens, we packed a bag, checked out of our Moho, and into a hostel. The pure reason for this was to benefit from the air con, so imagine how gutted we were when we were provided with a measley oscillating fan. Although it did work well enough to keep us cool, but more Importantly  Marley, who was struggling and at risk of getting heat stroke. The hostel was clean, quite quirky, and the lovely owner let us keep our bikes inside.  We’d planned to be in Seville for the Pride celebrations that evening, which are hosted each year for the whole of the Andalucia region. At the hostel we were a short walk away from the parade starting point, so after getting a bit of colour and glitter on, off we went to to...

Sitges Bitches!

21/05/18 – 25/05/18 – Sitges e have both been to Sitges twice previously for Justin and Brandon’s wedding and Justin’s 40th, both times in quite large groups (Sitges Bitches). So this time around we weren’t sure if it would feel the same with it being just the 3 of us. We found a parking spot to the north of the town centre close to Sitges Port, overlooking a small beach, playa de la Marina Aigudolç that cost the princely sum of €3.60/24 hours. It was such a stunning location, we didn’t want to leave, but after 3 nights we needed our water tank topping up. There were 2 other Mohos parked up – one either side of us and it wasn’t long before one of our neighbours came to introduce himself and give us the low-down on avoiding fines etc – thanks Pablo 🙂 The first night we had a quick walk around the Marina which mainly comprised expensive restaurants (to our budget at least) and a few boat related shops, followed by dinner in the van...
